  3. Attend a council meeting
  4. Join Deflock Tucson!
  5. Vote with your dollars – shop locally with businesses that require a warrant for your data
  • Discontinue mass surveillance and the use of ALPRs and PTZ cameras
  • Stop the sale or sharing of personal data with third parties
  • End the ALPR and PTZ contracts

Hi (councilmember / mayor), my name is ____ and I live/work in (your county / district / city). I am calling/emailing you to urge you to turn off and cover existing license plate readers (LPRs) and pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) cameras across (Pima County / Tucson). (Pima County / City of Tucson) should not be investing (county / city) dollars into building a mass surveillance system that threatens immigrant communities, undermines civil liberties, and contradicts the (County’s / City’s) commitments to equity, safety, justice, and transparency. I urge you to follow the leadership of South Tucson, Flagstaff, Sedona, Douglas, and Sierra Vista who all have already canceled their contracts with Flock.

This mass surveillance system is a gross violation of your Fourth Amendment rights, and the object of numerous ongoing lawsuits and misuse. It is a threat to your privacy and safety, and a gift of your data to the growing surveillance state.

If we do not act now to end mass surveillance in Pima County, these systems will spread. We have already seen the implementation of heat seeking tools, cameras that gather biometric data, and sources that track your phone and its use.

Say No! to normalizing mass surveillance. Sign the Petition on Change.org

We demand that leaders in Pima County act now to end their mass surveillance contracts.
